State of Utah
Transfer Policy

The majority of our students transfer to schools throughout Utah and the west.  Much effort has been made to establish articulation agreements which aid our students in transferring.  As you plan your schedule, consult your transfer school's catalog, or contact the transfer school directly. An academic advisor will also prove to be helpful, along with the faculty who teach in your major. By utilizing these resources you can minimize many of the frustrations you may encounter.

IN-STATE TRANSFER INFORMATION
When it comes to a transfer, there are some definite advantages for students who choose to remain in-state. Students who transfer from other Utah state schools can take advantage of the following agreements:

General Education
Dixie State College has an agreement to honor general education from other Utah state schools. This means that if you take a course which was considered general education at DSC College, for example, USU will also give you general education credit here. This makes it much easier for you to plan your schedule with confidence.

Associate Degrees
Students who have received Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees from any of the Utah institutions of higher education will clear general education requirements at  State Universities.

Note: Transfer Agreements are based on the student receiving an Associate Degree from Dixie State College.

If you are not planning to graduate from Dixie: Visit the Transfer Advising Center (Browning Learning Resource Center, Room 110) where you will find an updated articulation guide. Match the Dixie State College's General Education program with your transfer school’s General Education program.

The following information is prepared to help you transfer your General Education to different schools. Keep in mind it does not take into account specific major requirements.

Transferring To Schools Outside of Utah
Dixie State College students transfer to colleges and universities throughout the United States. Because of this, it is virtually impossible to establish articulation agreements with every school to which our students transfer.

In order to make a smooth transition from Dixie to your transfer school, you should do the following:

1. Keep in touch with your transfer school the whole time you are at Dixie. Obtain any tips that will aid you in planning your schedule while at Dixie.

2. Obtain catalogs from any schools to which you think you might transfer.

3. Meet with the Dixie  Transfer Advisor to plan the best possible schedule.
