Transfer Checklist

 

Have you studied the various schools?
( Make an informed choice. It is a good idea to visit at least a couple of colleges or universities.)

Have you chosen a school that will help you attain your goals?

Have you done everything needed to be considered for transfer admission?

Do you have the required GPA?

Do you need to send in a high school transcript or ACT/SAT scores?
(Usually because you don’t have many college credits.)

Have you completed the required course work?
(Some schools require that you have already completed a percentage of your general education requirements.)

Does the program you’re interested in have more requirements than the general school admissions requirements?
(Some programs at some institutions are in high demand and are more difficult to get into.)

Have you completed the necessary paperwork?

Have you completed and mailed the admissions application?

Have you had an OFFICIAL copy of your college transcripts sent?
(The Registrar’s Office sends these directly to the college or university of your choice for a fee of usually $2 each.)
Have you had a copy of your financial aid transcript sent? (The Financial Aid Office sends these at no charge.)

Have you mailed the necessary fees with your applications?

Have you met the admissions application, scholarship & financial aid deadlines?
