HOW
DO I QUALIFY FOR SSS?
It's easier than you think! To qualify to become part of the STUDENT
SUPPORT SERVICE program, you should meet two of the three following
requirements:
1. FIRST GENERATION
- Neither of your parents received a four-year college degree before you
were 18-years-old.
2. LOW INCOME STUDENT
- You are receiving financial aid, such as, a PELL Grant, SEOG, Student
Loan Vocational Rehab, need-based scholarship or your taxable income meets
federal guidelines.
3. DISABILITY
- You have documented learning or physical disability. SSS
works very closely with the Dixie State
College Disability Resource Center (DRC).
Once you've determined that you qualify, pick up an application for
membership in the North
Instructional Building, Rooms 101, 103, 104 or
157. The SSS staff will review the applications and interview
perspective participants.
Please note that because we are federally funded to serve only 200
participants per year, there may be semesters when we are unable to accept
new members. In this case, your application will be kept on file and
you will be contacted when we are able to take new participants.
