In the 1980’s, a Continuing Education thrust was expanded to the rapidly growing community of St. George. Whereas the population of St. George was less than 5,000 in 1950, and just over 7,000 in 1970, by 1980 it was over 11,000, and in 1990, approximately 30,000.
