In 1979 the new Trades and Industry building was completed. The vocational programs, which had been housed in the Atkin Building on Industrial Road since 1973, were brought on the new campus.
With the T and I Building's completion, all College programs except the Dixie/SUSC/Weber State Nursing program, were now on the new campus for the first time since the move began in August 1963 under President Arthur Bruhn.
