Students
International Applicants
International applicants must meet the
following requirements one month prior to the
semester they desire to attend:
- Submit an application for admission with
a $25 non-refundable application
processing fee.
- Submit TOEFL score of 500 (paper based
total, 173 for computer based total) or
above. Test scores must be sent directly
from a testing center to the Registrar's
Office.
- Submit a financial statement verifying a
minimum of $11,000 (tuition/fees $5,800,
living expenses $4,500 & books &
supplies $700) U.S. currency for
educational and living expenses per year.
- Submit official transcripts of high
schools and colleges attended (must be
sent directly from the schools to the
Admissions Office in English).
- Submit a statement of good health signed
by a licensed physician. The State of Utah
requires all International students be
tested for TB.
- Submit two letters of recommendation
from school officials.
- An I-20 form of eligibility will be sent
after all requirements are met. A student
must register for college within 60 days
after receiving the I-20.

Financial Aid/Scholarships
There is no financial aid or scholarships
available for international students at Dixie
State College.
Maintaining Student Status
You are responsible for maintaining your
student status by doing the following:
- Have a valid passport at all times
(except Canadians).
- Attend the school you have been
authorized to attend on your I-20ID.
- Complete at least 12 credit hours per
semester.
- Apply for an extension of program within
30 days of the expiration date of your
I-20 ID (check with International
Admissions Office). Must have been in
status during your entire academic stay in
order to qualify.
- Limit on-campus employment to 20 hours
while school is in session.
- Report your local address and phone
number to the Admissions Office when you
arrive at school.
- Report any change of address and phone
number to the Admissions Office within ten
days of the change.
- Keep all copies of I-20's issued during
academic stay.
- Comply with all other INS regulations.

students, his office is located in the
registrar's office.
Loya
Garrett is the advisor for our
International Student Club. This is a good way
to get to know other international students.

English As A Second Language Programs (ESL)
Dixie State College does not have an ESL
program, however a program is offered on our
campus through FLS International.
